Perrin skips team to win over Welsh side at Madeira

Madeira got the better of visiting Welsh side Cefn Slwyn in a friendly last week.

MADEIRA received a visit from Welsh outfit, Cefn Slwyn Bowls Club, writes Ron Stares.

Madeira were in good form for this match and powered into a 22 shot lead at the half way point of the match.

The visitors rallied and managed to reduce the arrears but only as far as reducing the final margin of victory which saw Madeira victorious at 194-167.

The best Madeira rink was May Dyson, Chris Phillips, Jenny Smith and skip George Perrin who won their game by 18 shots.
