FootGolf on the eXe owner Paul Collinson has won a brilliant Gold at the British Drug Free Powerlifting Association’s [BDFPA] postponed 2020 British Championships in Kings Lynn, Norfolk on Sat 24 July.
Competing in the under 82.5kg weight class, Collinson not only won his age category by 12.5kg but outlifted all competitors in the weight class to take the Golf medal.
It might not be the Olympics but it’s another title to add to his growing collection of World/European and British titles and records.
An amazing achievement for Collinson, who can return to the relative tranquillity of his Footgolf course before the next stop at the British Masters, taking place in Glasgow in December.
He said: “I am always happy to win an event and beating the youngsters makes it even more satisfying. However, I didn’t hit the numbers I trained for, so it takes the edge off the day.”
