The Woodbury Park weekend competition attracted fewer players than normal, writes Carole Pye.
However, 31 hardy players braved the cold to play a three-ball team event.
All scores counted on the par three’s and two’s scores to count on the other holes.
At the end of the game all scores were doubled which produced some abnormally high results.
Trevor Part, David Dickinson and David McGregor, scoring 131 points, won the competition with Steve Robb, Paul Richie and Steve Newman (125) runners-up.
In the fifth round of the Winter Eclectic the seniors’ used the winter tees, and due to early frost part of the game was on temporary greens.
Not surprisingly there were some unusual scores.
Just edging out Peter Warner by one point, Tony Marshall took the first division with 46 points whilst Don Johns, with a brilliant 53 points, won the second division ahead of John Kelly on 45.
