For footballers with a disability, the dream to play for England is very much on with the Para Football performance Pathway at Devon FA.
The Football Association is looking for players with cerebral palsy, visual or hearing impairments who have the skills and a dream, to step up and play for their country.
The England Para talent pathway aims to find players who are ‘hidden’ in mainstream club, whose impairments may not be immediately obvious.
The idea is for those players to stay within their current teams for continued development but also complete the application form on the Devon FA website to ensure they at least have a chance to be recognised at national level.
The FA Para football performance unit has a clear vision: to develop winning teams through a mission to deliver the world’s leading talent programme for Para sport, maximising player and coach potential.
