Ottery St Mary Bowling Club is holding an Open Evening next week, writes Roger Smith.
The club is to open its Strawberry Lane (its situated next to Ottery St Mary Cricket Club), doors to all who would like to try their arm at the noble sport of bowls.
All the club ask is that people turning up to try the sport do so wearing flat shoes or trainers.
All equipment is provided and on the evening there will be free coaching on offer. The club are also providing complementary refreshments.
It’s a game for young and old alike, it’s a great social sport and you will meet many new friends. For more information ring Mike Smith on 01404 811195.
