OLYMPIC sailors Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes have made an excellent start to a new season, and indeed a new campaign that will gather momentum to the 2012 game, writes Mike Rice. The pair took the bronze medal in the high performance 49er class at the Delta Lloyd Holland Regatta in Medemblik, Holland. This is the latest stage of the International Sailing Federation World Cup, an important event for aspiring Olympic competitors. Morrison and Rhodes went into the final race lying in fifth place, but crossed the line in first place to secure a place on the podium, just a point behind the silver medallists. "We feel we've got improvements to make, just on basics, let alone on any clever stuff but we're really happy to come away from it with a medal," said Morrison.
