Exmouth Belles were represented in the 2013 Paris Marathon, writes Claire Medlock.

Claire O’Neill crossed the Channel to run in the popular event.

The 26.2 mile route starts and finishes near the Arc De Triomphe and passes sights such as the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame cathedral.

She ran well, taking five minutes off her previous bets for the paris marathon, finishing in for hours and 22 minutes. C

She said: “I’m not sure how I wangled that after my haphazard training.” Injury had plagues her preparations for the race!
