Exeter City are on the dawn of a new era and the challenge of playing in Sky Bet League One begins on Saturday with a trip to Lincoln City.
The Imps of Lincoln stuttered at times last term but ultimately finished well clear of relegation, while City will be hoping to carry on the momentum from their superb promotion campaign.
The Grecians completed their pre-season preparations with a late 1-0 loss at Torquay United on Saturday and manager Matt Taylor spoke to the City website after a day of missed opportunities at Plainmoor: "They know those chances have to go it. The story of the game was poor execution."
Following the long trip to Lincoln, the Grecians will return to St James Park for the opening home game against Port Vale on August 6. One early date for the diary will be the Devon derby trip to Plymouth Argyle on October 29.
