Good weather made for some very respectable scores when the East Devon ladies played their latest competition.

THE East Devon ladies staged a Stableford competition last week and the event was blessed with good weather.

After recent problems with the elements it was a refreshing change for the lady golfers an, as a result, there were some very healthy scores recorded.

The Silver Division was won by Judy Murray who finished with 37 points, one ahead of Sue Fowler with Maureen Howard taking third place with a score of 35 points.

The Bronze A Division was won by a clear three points by Hazel Munyard with just a point between second and third which resulted in Shirley Pressey (33 points), finishing just ahead of Elaine Curel.

It was a close run thing in the Bronze B Division with just a brace of points separating the first three.

Linda Knapton took first place with 37 points and Sarah Jones (36) and Sarah White (35), settling for the minor places.
