BSFC Ladies manager Nick Long made some wholesome changes, for this Devon Women Football League Eastern division fixture against lowly opponents Bradninch Ladies, writes SpursTom.
A breakaway by Bradninch forced Budleigh’s keeper Jordyn Ward into action, tipping a shot on to the woodwork. In a strong wind, the game became scrappy until Tahla Williams found the net from a Maisie Smith pass.
The Robinettes doubled their advantage when Williams neatly flicked the ball past the advancing keeper for the onrushing Smith to tap home the finish.
Two minutes later, substitute Suzy Osborne making no mistake from another assist by Maisie Smith (0-3), but Bradninch responded with a fine goal from Ella-Mae Evans-Pitt.
A Williams solo effort restored Budleigh’s three-goal cushion. However, the hosts kept believing and delivered the ‘goal of the match’ from a run and thunderous strike by Siena Baradas in the closing minutes.
