MADEIRA received a visit from Bridport who arrived with six rinks, writes Ron Stares. The hosts were, once again, in fine form and had a lead by the fifth end that became a 21 shot advantage at the half way point. Eventually, Madeira sealed a 122-98 (24+) victory. Three home rinks all enjoyed ten shot wins and they were, Jenny Turner, Jill Honnor, Tony Wiseman and skip Francis Newton. Madeline Marriott, John Daly, Jean Phillips and skip Charles Drake and the third team to do so was that of Deidre Aldridge, Dorothy Lowe, Keith Ewins and skip George Perrin.
