Madeira ladies' have been back in action and continued where they left off before the festive break with some excellent bowling, and results.

A home triples meeting with Axminster was won 49-43, Ve Bevan skipped Millie Powell and Dorothy Lowe to a 20-17 success, Jean Healey skipped Ann Doidge and Mollie Cooper to a 15-13 victory and Dee Norman skipped Shirley Smith and Janet Grundy to a 14-13 triumph.

Next up a big win at home to Sidmouth with the visitors beaten 92-20!

In this match Joy Penberthy skipped Ve Bevan, Lin Halpin and Margaret Mahon to a 30-9 success whilst Jacky Howle skipped Dee Norman, Carol Worth and Dorothy Lowe to a 34-5 triumph and Jenny Smith skipped Thelma Wildon, May Dyson and Christine Macaulay to a 28-6 win.

There was also success in the Foxlands with a meeting against South Hams resulting in a maximum 10 points in the bank!

In the home leg Sue Harriott skipped Brenda Marks, Dee Williams and Dee Norman to a 16-14 win whilst Catherine King skipped Joy Penberthy, Christine Macaulay and Jan Roberts to a 21-20 triumph.

In the away leg there was a 22-20 victory for the rink of Jean Rainton, Ve Bevan, Jill Perrin and skip Jacky Howle whilst Janine Orchard skipped Jenny Smith, Annette Flockhart and Angela Denner to a 23-14 win.
