LYMPSTONE netball team are, finally able to enjoy the status of winners, writes Louis Passmore.

All the hard work and dedication for the last two years finally paid off for the ladies when they emerged triumphant against Replay.

Lympstone, in particular, showed the work they have been doing off court as they moved the ball confidently from defence, through the mid-court ground to shooters Rachel Hall and Sue Coles who displayed a clinical eye for finishing whenever the opportunity to close out a move allowed.

At the final whistle Lympstone were victorious at 31-22 - their first ever win in the Exmouth Netball League.

Replay gave Lympstone a good run for their money with some brilliant defensive play, but, unfortunately, just not enough with Lympstone coming away with a final score of 31-22.

Vicky Gall, the Lympstone goal defence, won her team's nomination for Player of the Match, whilst the same accolade went to Liz Foster, the Replay wing attack.
