Lympstone boxer Robinson lands superb win on Exeter bill

Aaron Robinson (47kgs), featured in a Junior supporting bout on the Exeter ABC tournament at the Lemon Grove Exeter University on Saturday when he met Lazlo Topaz (46Kgs) from the Heart of Devon ABC Torbay, writes Neil Parsons.

The two 13-year-olds were involved in a bout that was fought at a fierce pace with neither boxer wanting to give ground in the first, but Robinson’s more powerful blows shaded the opening round.

Robinson began to get on top in the second when some well placed body shots slowed the Torquay lad and the Lympstone boxer began to take command of the bout.

The third was all Robinson who forced the pace throughout to win a very good unanimous verdict of the Judges.
