Exmouth’s Jo Louis has won yet another title in her ongoing distinguished tennis career.

Louis was crowned the British National over-40s Clay Court Champion in both singles and doubles at the recent championships held in Nottingham.

In the ladies singles, Louis first defeated Emma Mills of Cambridge 6-0, 6-1 and then booked a final berth with a 6-0, 6-01 success over Zoe Taylor of Middlesex who is the daughter of tennis legend Roger Taylor.

In the final she beat Bridie Amos of Hertfordshire 7-6, 6-3.

Louis then joined forced with Michelle Oldham of Surrey to land the doubles title.

In the semi-finals the pair defeated the duo of Jenny Hughes and Lorraine Ristic 6-1, 6-3.

In the final the pair came up against Barbara Snapes and Alison Taylor, the latter the wife of Roger Taylor, and won 6-2., 65-1 to land the British Doubles title.
