Ben Lane landed a second international title last weekend when he lifted the Hungarian Mixed Doubles title.
The Exmouth-based teenager, playing alongside regular mixed doubles partner Jess Pugh from Milton Keynes, won the top honour after having to battle their way through qualifying rounds!
Given that lane is still only 17-years-of-age, to have two international titles under his belt at this stage of his career is quite exceptional.
The pair had to see off opposition from Denmark, Russia, Turkey and Hungary on their way to the title.
In the semi-finals they were paired against number three seeds P Pietrya and A Wojkowska who they defeated in straight sets; 11-3,11-8,11-2.
That gave them a final berth against the competitions top seeded pair J Bitmas and A Basova who they again overcame in three straight sets, winning 11-4,11-10,11-7.
Lane is next on duty at the Welsh and Scottish international tournaments in the coming weeks before heading off to take part in similar events in Iceland, Poland, Germany and Holland in early 2015.
