Howard and Edworthy net as Exe II win at Plym Valley

Exe II were in fine form as they won by the odd goal in three when they travelled to Plym Valley for a South Division meeting.

A brace of goals from Player of the Match Charlotte Howard was enough to see Exe II home in a closely fought game.

Having been under pressure for the opening minutes a break saw Fi Moran have her effort saved, but Howard was there for the follow-up. The second came shortly afterwards with Heather Edworthy this time turning provider.

Plym Valley pulled a goal back from a short corner. Exe came close through both Emma Scott and Helena Nicholls and had ‘keeper Becky Rushworth to thank for some good saves, but the score remained the same.
