DARTS: EXMOUTH'S leading darts players are celebrating a fifth successive Inter League Darts title win following a 5-4 victory over East Devon rivals Sidmouth in the final that was staged at the Honiton Motel.

Darryl Banks, Paul Milford, Lee Taylor, Dean Wiltshire and Ian Baker, all claimed victories in their matches, the Baker win being the most significant as it confirmed Exmouth as winners and deemed the final game between Paul Davis and Sidmouth's Phil Pearce as surplus to requirement, even though Pearce won that one to give the final score its 5-4 appearance.

The Tournament is played for annually and the Exmouth Team is selected by a chosen skipper following the regular winter league season.

This year's captain has been Paul Milford and hopes are high that next years competition will be played at a venue in Exmouth.

Paul Davis says: "We really would like to see next years competition staged in the Town, we have got some very good players in and around Exmouth and it would be fitting for a sixth defence of the Title to be staged on home soil.
