The rugby journey for young players is filled with tremendous memories, performances that make you fall in love with the game.
For many of the Under-15s at Withycombe Rugby Club, one of their finest memories came from a first ever trip to Tavistock as an eager group of Under-10s in 2016.
Travelling across Dartmoor with very little expectations, the Withy youngsters produced a stunning display, tackling with the passion of young lions, led by the likes of Jamie Thompson and Ben Jeffery.
There was also the kind of industry and distribution skills that have been continually improved over the years.
While Tavvy were a constant threat, the Withy juniors remained in control with Bobby Pond scoring multiple points, whilst Jeffery and Jack Macdonald-Brown benefitted from fine passes by Lewis Tose and Kieran Long.
Withycombe eventually triumphed with seven scores to the five notched by Tavvy and a fabulous memory for a team that has improved superbly down the years.
