Woodbury will face Axmouth United in the final of the Carlisle Cup at Seaton Town on Friday, May 25.

Both Woodbury and Axmouth wear maroon kits and so one of the two sides will need a kit change for the final!

Woodbury hope that Kev Pitt will be fir for the final after he limped out of the weekend friendly with Colaton Raleigh.

Pitt has been in top form since his switch back from East Budleigh in February firing nine goals in seven starts in all competitions.

Wood’s boss Adam Reid says: “He (Pitt) Kev has scored in every game we have started him since his return and a bit more of the same in the final would be nice, so getting him fit is paramount.”

Woodbury are also thrilled to learn that Luke Kelsall has committed his immediate future to the club. Kelsall’s involvement back with Woodbury will be subjected to work commitments but boss Reid says: “Having Like back on board is a real bonus. I am looking forward to seeing him back in Woods colours.”

Meanwhile Reid is also close to other signings for next season and the club remain optimistic that they may yet kick-off next term in Division Four, depending on what team movements are announced at the Fresha League AGM later this summer.

An optimistic Reid says: “I feel really good about next season already. What’s clear to me is that whichever Division we find ourselves in I am confident that we will be fielding one of the best teams in our area!”
