It was a bitter sweet Easter Monday for the Woods who made it two wins from two over the holiday weekend, but lost the services of Tom Heritage to a knee injury that looks like ending his season prematurely.
Woods, playing at Town Lane for the first time since October 27, played with the slope in the first half and took a 15th minute lead when a Josh Cuthbert long throw was turned into his own net by a Bickleigh defender.
On the half hour came the injury to the unfortunate Heritage who will probably need corrective surgery, all in the Woodbury camp wish hi well with his treatment and rehabilitation.
At half-time Woods Chief Neil Sellick rang the changes in a bid to manage the threat of a very good visiting outfit.
Twenty minutes from time the lead was doubled with Michael Rayson the scorer. Minutes later Darren Sellick was introduced from the bench to shore up the rear guard.
Woods keeper Alan Doble produced his usual heroics on 85 minutes with a brilliant save to deny the Mid Deon side, but he was beaten on the final minute, not that it altered the result, an impressive success for the home side.
Matty Tidmarsh was named the Woods Man of the Match.
Woodbury team: Alan Doble, Ben Collins, Tom Heritage (Dave Allen 20) Paul Davis, Matt Tidmarsh, Matt Amor (D Sellick 75), Stuart Howard, Dave Vickery, Jonny Killick, Mike Rayson, Josh Cuthbert.
