Woodbury Manager Adam Reid wasn’t too disappointed with the decision to postpone his side’s latest Division Six game at Hatherleigh.

With the Woods well ahead of many other sides in terms of games played and, as things stand, without postponements, their league season is due to end in February!

Reid used the day off to take in the Exmouth Town Reserves versus Axmouth United game at Southern Road It gave him the chance to watch the Exmouth Town Reserves game against Axmouth United to keep an eye on two sides who, like the Woods, will be hoping for a top three finish..

The Weekend break gave a little more recovery time to the influential trio of Jonny Killick, Will Bennett and Captain Brett Gloyn who are all trying to fight off niggling injuries.

What’s more, had the trip to Hatherleigh been on then Reid would have been without the striking trio of Andy Bennett, Michael Simpson and Adam Downey which would have greatly reduced his sides attacking options.

If the weather permits play this Saturday then the Woods will entertain Sampford Peverell (2.15pm), and plans are in place to switch the game to their second home at the Archery Club should the need arise
