Budleigh Salterton were 4-1 winners when they made the short trip to meet Brixington Blues for an Exeter and District Youth League Under-15 Division Two derby meeting, writes SpursTom.

The game, as a contest, was spoiled by windy conditions that made it virtually impossible to play good football.

However, the young Robins stuck to their principles and looked to pass at every opportunity and took the lead in the 11th minute through Lewis Hillier.

Parity was restored just three minutes later when Blues’ danger man, Tom Humphry, struck and the game stayed at 1-1 through until half-time.

Five minutes into the second period, Will White restored the Budleigh lead and they went further ahead 15 minutes later when Joe Graham scored.

It was young White who completed the scoring, netting his second to seal a fine away win for Budleigh.
