NOT only have they been busy on the training ground at Exmouth Town, as they prepared for the new season, but, behind the scenes at the Southern Road ground, the commercial manager, Debbie Butler, has been beavering away, drumming up that much needed commercial support.

It's testament to her endeavours that the pitch side advertising boarding's have seen many new companies get involved and the matchday programme on offer this season is certainly one of the best they have produced at Town for many moons.

There are plans to stage a sponsor's night at the club, when the commercial department and the club officials will treat the supporting business community to a drink and some food.

There is a Family fun day being held at the club on Sunday, August 30, the bank holiday weekend, when, with the fun all starting at 11am, there will be a veteran's football match followed by a 5-a-side tournament.

The event will see a cross section of events to appeal to everybody with donkey rides, beat the keeper, tarot reading, balloon art, reptiles from reptile mania, bouncy castle, several stalls, a barbeque and all followed by evening entertainment with Lance Vernon from 'Stars in their eyes' .

The whole event is free to all comers and should prove to be a superb place to be over the Bank Holiday weekend, given that there is also a match to take in on Saturday when Jody Bolt's team host Galmpton.
