THERE was no action for Exmouth Town last weekend when their scheduled Peninsula League visit to Crediton United was postponed.

THERE was no action for Exmouth Town last weekend when their scheduled Peninsula League visit to Crediton United was postponed.

The Mid Devon side's Lords Meadow pitch is one of the most notorious in the League and the blank day at the weekend means, when they next play at home, it will have been 19 weeks since their last Saturday game!

Town are at home to bottom of the table Bickleigh this weekend, the Mid Devon side slipping to the foot of the table on Saturday after being beaten by Okehampton.

It is just the sort of fixture that they may struggle in, given their recent habit of coming unstuck against the sides in the lower reaches of the Peninsula League Eastern Division.

Factor in that semi-final against Appledore seven days later and the ingredients are there for Town to slip up.

However, with boss Jody Bolt back in the dugout after his sunshine break, you can be sure the side will not be allowed to contemplate the complacency word.
