Town boss looking for improvement in Easter double-header

Exmouth Town have a Southern Road Easter weekend home double as they seek to land a first win of 2018.

Town host Cullompton Rangers on Monday (11am) and then entertain Helston on Monday (2pm).

Town boss Andy Rawlings is expecting an improved show from his team, who went down 5-0 to high-flying Tavistock Town last Saturday.

The Town boss says: “Although the 5-0 score line was harsh, the simple truth is that we were not at our best and a few home truths were cast around the dressing room post match.”

He continued: “It was made clear to the lads that Exmouth Town expect – and deserve – better than what they are currently getting and I see these next two home games as real opportunities, not only for us to bag a brace of victories, but also for the players to prove to me and our loyal supporters that they both want, and deserve, to wear the Town shirt.”

Rawlings, who managed a Cully youth side through to men’s football, says of the Friday game: “I see no reason why we should not get the three points.

“They [Cullompton] are no Tavistock, but what they will bring is hard work and lots of good attitude and we need to match that, in every department.”

Town are at full strength for their Easter weekend home double-header.
