THINGS are certainly looking rosy at Coronation Field, Topsham, where the Tops have moved smoothly into the top three of the Devon and Exeter League Premier Division.

The Tops were 3-2 winners at Thorverton on Saturday, a result that sees them sitting comfortably in 3rd spot in the Premier Division table.

The last time that Topsham Town tasted a League defeat was back on August 29 and, if they can defeat visiting Hatherleigh on Saturday, they could even head into Christmas as the top flight's top team.

The win at Thorverton saw goals from Ace High, Ryan Pym and Lewis Heaver and there was a cameo appearance in the Tops' defence from the evergreen Mal Pym.

The one problem the high flying Tops may face in the second half of the season is a build up of matches for, when 2010 is rung in, they will still have 19 of their 30 top flight games still to negotiate which makes for a busy schedule in the closing four months of the season.
