BUDLEIGH Salterton overcame a strong Sidmouth Town side but were taken into extra time to reach there second cup final in the space of nine days.

After an even first half with little action Adam Clark scored with a real screamer into the top right of the net from 25 yards. Danny William's nearly made it two when his shot was pushed onto the post. Sidmouth then had a man sent off but the ten men raised there game and got a deserved equaliser with ten minutes remaining.

So into extra time and Budleigh unleashed the super subs of Sam Bird and Leigh Begam. Budleigh lost Sam Schlaefli for a second yellow in extra time but this seemed to improve the Robins as Danny Williams burst clear and struck a fierce drive that hit the under side of the bar bounced on the line and Begam headed in from the rebound.

Sidmouth gambled on throwing everyone forward and Chris Wright made a couple of stunning saves but was also well protected from Tony Pallett and Tim Nield as they saw out time.
