THE November weather is having a real effect on the football programme.

In the Devon and Exeter League, which plays home to ten Division's, just 44 games have been played in the month!

With 140 teams playing across the League, not one Division has seen double figures to date in terms of matches played with three of the four matchdays in the month having gone.

The least number of games is in Division Four where just one match was played prior to the final weekend of the month!

In the South West Peninsula League just 18 games had been completed prior to the last Saturday of November and, in the Eastern Division, the games played count stood at just six - with Saturday November 28th looking to stage another nine.

It is not just men's football being hit, for the Devon County Youth Cups have suffered three successive Sunday washouts and, with County Cup matches taking priority it means re-scheduling League games.
