Brixington United Under-13s came from behind to deservedly bank all three Division Two points and claim their third win of the league season.

The game was played on the magnificent playing surfaces at the Archery Club on Woodbury Common.

In a well contested first half neither side caused the others goal much of a threat.

Al that changed after the break. The visitors opened the scoring when an initial splendid save from United keeper Joe Gore fell kindly to a supporting Kentisbeare player who drilled it home.

The response was excellent and, with a bit more composure the scores would have been levelled within a minute!

However, it did not take long for United to make it 2-2 and the equaliser was a piece of individual quality from the outstanding Matthew Mottershead who slammed the ball home from an acute angle.

United then finished the stronger and netted what proved to be a richly deserved winner through Spike O’Leary.
