THE Royal Marines AFC completed their Peninsula League Eastern Division campaign with a 1-1 draw in their East Devon derby with Axminster Town at Endurance Park. The draw left the Marines finishing the season as the leading side amongst the five East Devon sides competing at the level and that, in their first season of competitive football, is no mean achievement. It was the visitors who struck first, taking a 9th minute lead but, twenty minutes from time, Shaun Foster headed his side level to secure the 1-1 draw and ensure a 7th place finish and with the unofficial honour of being East Devon's top side in this year's Eastern Division season.
