THE South West Peninsula League Eastern Division, which has three local sides playing in it next season, has published its 2009/10 season fixture list.

THE South West Peninsula League Eastern Division, which has three local sides playing in it next season, has published its 2009/10 season fixture list.Royal Marines AFC, who last season finished as the areas top side, will begin their campaign on Saturday, August 15 with an Endurance Park meeting with Ottery St Mary.Budleigh Salterton who begin their season with an August 15 game at Greenway Lane against Galmpton Gents and Exmouth Town, under new boss Jody Bolt, will also play on that first Saturday of the season, and, like the other two local sides, will also have home advantage when they entertain Alphington.The Boxing Day fixture locally is the Greenway Lane, December 26, meeting between Budleigh and Exmouth. The Marines do not have a Boxing Day engagement as they have a break between their December 19 home game against Budleigh and a January 2, 2010, trip to Teignmouth.In terms of the final game of the season, both Budleigh and Exmouth are scheduled to bring the curtain down on their seasons on Saturday, April 17, when Exmouth host Stoke Gabriel and Budleigh are at Okehampton.The Marines do not finish their season until a fortnight later when they play Newton Abbot Spurs on Saturday, May 1, 2010.
