Lympstone made a winning start to their pre-season schedule with a single goal success over Alphington.

The only goal of the game was scored, fittingly, buy the stand-out player in the match, Morgan Pearce.

Lympstone boss Tim Wright said: “It’s always good to make a positive start to a new pre-season.

“It was a good work out and it was fitting that Morgan [Pearce] capped his performance with the only goal.”

The Lympstone boss continued: “Results are not important at this stage. It’s all about getting players fit and ready for the first league game.”

Lympstone chairman George Webster is keen to thank Tyrone Crowley Electrical Services, the first team shirt sponsor, who was at the Alphington game for an official sponsor short hand-over picture with first team boss Tim Wright and his assistant Mike Delahaye.

Lympstone will be playing in Division Three of the Devon and Exeter League and will face local sides Budleigh Salterton Reserves East Budleigh and Otterton home and away over the league campaign.
