Exmouth United Under-8s finished their season with two good performances against Dawlish sides Barca and Madrid.

The opening goal was fashioned initially by United defender Harry Kiflu Reynolds who broke up a Barca raid and then laid the ball into the path of skipper Joel Knott who rifled the ball home from distance!

The lead was doubled when winger Carrick Howard received a great ball from striker Cayleb Field before hammering it home.

After the break Barca halved the deficit, but that merely served to draw a response from United and the lead was extended when Finley Clifford, Charlie Bowen, Bryn Stephens and Ryan Dart were all involved prior to Howard scoring his second to round off a 3-1 win.

Next up United took on Madrid who came out of the traps brightly and forced United gloves man Oscar Smith to make a smart save.

The ball was moved swiftly to the opposite end of the pitch where Bryn Stephens fed Knot and he fired home. Later in the game the Dawlish side grabbed an equaliser to leave honours even at 1-1.
