Budleigh Salterton Reserves travelled into Exeter to meet Winchester in a Macron League Division Three game without a recognised goalkeeper, writes SpursTom.

Also missing a player who was needed for first team duties, the Robins started the game well against a side that had unceremoniously dumped them out of the Devon Senior Cup last month.

They gave as good as they got throughout before being narrowly beaten 3-2. The Budleigh goals came from an own goal and a neat finish from Morgan Johnson.

With a little more luck they could have snatched an equaliser in the closing moments of the match.

On Saturday, the Robins are at home to Sandford first team, who sit two places and a point above them in the table.
