Brixington United under-13s were good value for a 4-2 win over Kentisbeare.

United started well against a spirited Kentisbeare side and threatened to overrun them in the opening passages of play.

Luke Bailey and Ed White went close before right wing Jack Parsons cut in and slid the ball home to open the scoring.

The Mid Devon side responded but found United keeper Jack Rowlands and his defence equal to their best attacking endeavours.

Both United wingers were having success and one of them, left winger Baltazar Manowski struck with a clinical finish to double the lead but the Kents halved the deficit just before the break.

Ed White restored the two goal lead for United with a delightful lob but Kentisbeare responded and managed to net a second. Several substitutions from each side slowed the game up a bit but home nerves were still frayed until Melchior Manowski strolled through the defence and calmly shot home to seal victory for United.
