Brixington Under-9s slipped to a couple of defeats in their latest Exeter and District Youth Leaguer outings.

The Blues were in action at a chilly Colyton and, first up, they took on the Raiders and simply never got out of a low gear!

They went into the break trailing by just the one goal but that was very much down to an outstanding effort from keeper Will Cooper and defensive duo Owen Shaw and Joshua Hockings.

After the break the Blues shipped three more goals to end up on the wrong end of a 4-0 score line.

Their second game was against the Redsocks and the Blues started very well, racing into a two goal, lead courtesy of strikes Thomas Humphrey and Max Richards.

The home side then halved the deficit but young Humphrey bagged his second and there was still time for the home team to register two more sending the sides into then break locked at 3-3.

After the break Humphrey completed his hat-trick but the home side also added two more goals to land a 5-4 success.
