Ottery St Mary banked a crucial point in a 1-1 draw at Hemyock on Wednesday night and that keeps the Otters four points, and two places, clear of the Fresha League Division Three drop zone.

The Washbrook Meadow side have more games left than any of the cluster of five sides battling to avoid ending up in the two places to drop down alongside basement already relegated Sandford.

The Otters face just two more away trips in their run-in. They got to Thorverton tomorrow and then visit Dolphin on Wednesday, May 1.

After that its home comforts all the way.

However they have to pack seven games into the final 16 days of the season!

They follow the May 1 date at Dolphin with Newton St Cyres (May 4), North Tawton (May 7), South Zeal (May 10), University (May 13), Newtown (May 15) and final, on May 17, they bring the curtain down on their season with the visit of Hemyock.
