A goal from Steve Hitchcock three minutes from time completed an amazing comeback from East Budleigh, who were 3-1 down a quarter of an hour from the end of their Macron Devon and Exeter League Division Three game at Ottery St Mary, writes Mark Auton.

At was the home side that took an early lead before Man of the Match Jacob Rice levelled things up.

However, on the stroke of half-time Ottery regained their advantage.

Midway through the second period a third goal for the hosts looked to have put the game beyond Budleigh. Budleigh boss Matt Jones made changes, sending on Tim Nield and Joel Rendall before Liam Matthew reduced the arrears.

Hugo Demetre brought Budleigh level before Hitchcock snatched Budleigh all three points with his late winner. This Saturday (September 29) Budleigh will hope for another three points when they host Sandford.
