Mind you, had Town had their shooting boots on the victory could have been far more convincing as apart from hitting the woodwork three times countless other chances went begging.

The home side lost their ‘keeper after 40 minutes to a straight red card after cynically bring down Aarron Denny when the Town player was clear on goal and, with 10 minutes to go, Max Gillard was considered unlucky to pick up a second yellow card. At that stage, the score line was still goalless, but Town’s relentless pressure finally paid dividends when Chris Ibbeson scored his first for the club on 87 minutes and a peach of a goal from Ace High secured the victory.

Town are back in action on Wednesday night (August 29) when they travel to Ivybridge.
