AFC Heavitree Arms 7, Poltimore Arms 1 Exeter Sunday Premier Division: After loosing the previous week to the bottom-of-the-table side, Heavitree were looking to produce a better display at lowly Poltimore Arms.

Heavitree took an early lead courtesy of striker Liam McMahon.

Arms were in total control, helped by having an extra player from the start, keeping possession and passing the ball around neatly.

A second goal came on 17 minutes. After numerous passes Plater squared across goal for McMahon to tuck home.

Heavitree led 3-0 at the break, Plater netting the third.

During the half-time interval Roach, suffering from a reoccurring ankle problem was replaced by Alex Wicks.

Arms began showing their class by knocking the ball around. The talented Scott Mapp showed some silky skills on the left wing.

Further goals were added by Clark and Paul Horn before keeper Chris Wright, who had exchanged the gloves with Adam Turner for the final 15 minutes, showed quick feet in the box to round the opposition goalkeeper and fire home.

Turner was not to be out done and showed some acrobatics of his own, saving well from a rare Poltimore attack.

In the dying minutes Poltimore scored a late goal, catching Heavitree with a swift counter attack.

Man of the match was awarded to Wright for his first goal of the season and an assured performance between the sticks.
