Budleigh Salterton Under-14 girls were in great form when they took on Stoke Hill Juniors in a Sunday morning league game, writes SpursTom.

The young Robinettes opened the scoring within seven minutes of the kick-off when Amy Leadbetter latched onto a through pass before finishing smartly.

A rare strike from Hattie Real was followed by a Yasmin Levi goal and half-time arrived with Robinettes 3-0 to the good.

Two minutes into the second period Lucy Spiller skipped through the visitors defence for goal number four and then she doubled her tally with the fifth Budleigh goal after which she took over in goal!

Tilly Avery completed the scoring in the final minute to complete a very good all-round team performance.

I cannot end this report without mentioning Master Ryan Upham from Cullompton, possibly the youngest referee I’ve seen in action.

Congratulations to him for the manner in which he handled this match. Well done to him and the young Robinettes.

Budleigh Salterton Boy’s Under-16s had their League Cup fixture fall foul of the weather and the same fate befell the Budleigh Ladies who had been hoping to play their latest Devon Women’s League Division One match.
