Guy nets perfect treble as Exmouth United march into last eight of Under-11 League Cup

Exmouth United Under-11s powered their way into the last eight of the Exeter and District Youth League KO Cup with a 5-1 win at Honiton Devils.

It was Jared Guy who took the individual honours with a superb five minute second half hat-trick! Trailing to an early Devils goal, Joe Bawden levelled and Kyle Pearcey fired United into an interval lead. Within minutes of the restart a Bailey Cochrane shot cannoned back off the upright and Guy tucked the ball away with his right foot. He quickly doubled his tally with a fine header from a Cochrane cross and then completed a quick-fire treble with a clinical left foot finish after being played in by a delightful Harry Williams pass.

The place in the quarter finals of the cup sits nicely with the team’s current Division Two campaign that sees them top of the table with five wins from as many games.
