EXMOUTH Amateurs managed to register a trio of victories for the first time this season with 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams all winning their respective Devon and Exeter League outings.

The Ammies' 1st team continued their winning streak with a hard earned single goal win at Exeter University. Once again a key feature of the performance was a collective spirit and dogged determination throughout the side to play for each other across the park.

Ammies' glovesman, Ben Maddison, was a key figure in the game, making a couple of impressive saves during a period of sustained pressure late in the second half when the hosts threw everything they had at the Ammies in a bid to salvage something from the contest.

The goal that sealed the points arrived in the first half courtesy of a superb left foot volley from Adam Croft.

Back at Warren View, the Ammies were celebrating double success.

The 2nd team entertained, and defeated, Westexe Rovers, taking an early lead through Tom Caudrelier but that goal was cancelled out before the break.

In the second half Ammies found themselves 2-1 down but it was the introduction of Brad Evans from the bench that changed the flow of the game.

Evans made an instant impact and notched a rapid fire double to put his side back into the lead and late goals from Andrew Buzza and Nobby Taras sealed a 5-2 win.

Mark Crellkin picked up the Man of the Match award for an outstanding all round contribution.

The Ammies' 3rd team went into the break in their game with Cullompton Rangers a goal down but they had what they thought a goal of their own chalked off. Nick Davey restored parity early in the second half before the Mid Devon visitors once again took the lead.

Then David Cooling took centre stage and sealed a Man of the Match display with a goal and one also from Ross Matthews sealed a superb 3-2 win for the Ammies.

l This coming weekend sees the 1st team at Newtown in Exeter, the Reserves meet the same opposition at Waren View and the 3rds also play at home when they host Broadclyst.
