City Raiders 0, Brixington Blues 2

Brixington Blues Under-11 were worthy winners in a close encounter in Exeter.

With defender Jason Farrant and keeper Joe Blyth both missing it meant for a re-shuffle with Joe Evans swapping striking duties for the goal keepers jersey.

The only goal of the first half came from Lucas Feduzi. It was similar fare in the second half with again just a single goal scored, and again in favour of Blues with Jake Pond netting.

Theo Burne made a superb goal-line clearance whilst stand-in glovesman Evans made a wonderful penalty save.

Blues boss Kevin Hockings said: “A key feature of a splendid victory was the terrific communication between keeper and defender. It was that that got us over the line in a very tight game.”
