After Saturday's 2-1 home victory over Stoke Gabriel, Exmouth Town are now within touching distance of having their hands on the Eastern Division title.

That day could edge ever nearer this Wednesday night with both Town and Stoke Gabriel in action.

Town hosts University whilst Stoke Gabriel go to Budleigh Salterton.

Regardless of what Stoke Gabriel manage in their last seven games, Exmouth Town will be crowned champions on the night they stage the East Devon derby with neighbours Budleigh, if they win their next three games.

On Wednesday (April 10) they host University, then host Exeter Civil Service on Saturday (April 13) before a trip to Galmpton next Tuesday (April 16) and a Saturday 20th game at University.

Winning those next four would see them to 70 points.

Stoke Gabriel can only total 70 points by winning all eight of their remaining g games, starting with Wednesday night’s match at Budleigh.

Therefore, if all went to plan Town would be able to celebrate being the title team in that home derby with the Robins on Wednesday, April 24 at Southern Road.
