Exmouth Town begin their pre-season action tomorrow evening (Friday, July 12) with a game at Southern Road.

Town host Toolstation League Premier Division outfit Willand Rovers and the Mid Devon side will be fielding what new manager Scott Rogers describes as a ‘strong side’.

The Rovers boss is a player manager and this is his first spell in the hot seat. Town boss Richard Pears is a former Willand player and expects his side to get a god work out.

Pears says: “It’s the ideal start for us in playing terms as I doubt we’ll come across any side this season who will have the depth of quality that Scott’s team has at Willand. For our part we have been training hard and there’s already a buzz being created in the dressing room. At this stage of our pre-season it is all about game time across the squad as we ready for what I know is going to be a very exciting season ahead for followers of Town. Results don’t bother me at this stage, but performances, both individually and collectively, most certainly do!”

The game against Willand Rovers kicks off at 7.30pm.
