Exmouth Amateurs Under-13s suffer rare defeat when beaten at West Hill

Exmouth Amateurs Under-13s suffered only their second defeat of the league season, beaten 3-0 at West Hill.

The home side have not made the best of starts to the Exeter and District Youth League season whilst Ammies are enjoying their best start to a campaign for five years.

Ammies, playing down the slope, began well, but, despite seeing plenty of the ball, were unable to create any gilt-edged chances and half-time saw the side’s go in at 0-0.

Within a minute of the restart the home side took the lead and doubled their advantage just two minutes later.

A third goal, scored from a free-kick, meant Ammies had shipped three goals inside ten second half minutes!

From there it was a case of battling for pride, something the team did well despite losing a player to a red card. However, there was to be no glorious comeback and the final whistle blew with Ammies suffering a rare defeat.
