Ammies Under-12s led twice at the reigning champions before having to settle for a share of the spoils.

In a bright start Lewis Cockayne fired Ammies into a fifth minute lead courtesy of a superb strike from 25-yards.

Early in the second half the home team levelled, but the lively Cockayne swiftly restored the Ammies lead with a clinical finish.

The home side levelled for the second time, seizing on an Ammies error. Thereafter Ammies went in search of a lead for the third time, but, try as they did, they could not find the goal there all-round play deserved.

Ammies, now unbeaten for six weeks, travel to table-topping West Hill for an East Devon derby on Saturday.
