Exmouth Amateurs made it five straight wins as they put visiting Beacon Knights to the sword at Warrenview.
Ammies bossed the game from first whistle to last and it was no surprise that the opening goal arrived as early as the fifth minute when Darren Carrs excellent delivery from a free-kick was touched home by Tim Bradshaw.
The remainder of the half was played with Ammies in total control, but they had to wait until just before the break to double their lead when Matt Cousins finished superbly from a tight angle low into the bottom corner.
The second half continued in similar fashion with Ammies the dominant force. Further goals were added by Carr and Lee Hill before Cousins got his second of the game.
However, the biggest cheer of the day was reserved for Cousins who completed his hat-trick, rounding the keeper before passing the ball into the net.
Cousins was awarded man of the match for a tireless display up front which paid dividends bringing him his goal treble.
There were some other notable performances. None more so than from central midfield Mitchell Cudd was powerful next to Lee Hill who continues to get goals from this area of the game.
Simon Withers provided a constant attacking threat from wide and Tim Bradshaw also marshalled things effectively from the back line.
Ammies head into Saturday’s derby meeting with hosts Lympstone in great shape having now gone three games without conceding a goal.
